antiqueI had this movie on my computer for the longest time but finally just watched it the other and I think that it was an OK movie.

The trailer for the movie as do the stills suggest plots other than what it was but hey… whatever. This one had a lot of eye candy and thats whats important, right? Joo Ji Hoon was looking super fine and super mature in this compared to Goong (aka the only other thing I’ve seen him in), and Coffee Prince guy looked better here too.

I just think this movie took an odd turn through the middle. It was like a light-hearted cute romantic comedy then all of a sudden it became this drama and then because almost horror movie like, I was like what the hell is going on here? I just felt like the plot was tugging me in several different directions.

Other than that, it wasn’t bad, I’ll give it 3.5 starfruit: 3.5 starfruits

I saw Orphan on Saturday night an mannnn was it good! It put G.I. who? to shame!!

As I said before, I was supposed to see Orphan last week but luckily enough for me I made my way to the theaters again this weekend and was able to see Orphan and it was soooo good! This time they had REAL actors who could actually act, Vera Farmiga¬† (I know her from Boy in the Striped Pajamas) and Peter Sarsgaard (if you don’t know him then you don’t know anyone) not to mention the kids who starred in the movie.

First of all I must they those kids are so awesome to be able to act to well at that age and the one little girl named Aryana Engineer who is the most precious little thing I’ve ever seen… she is absolutely adorable its ridiculous. Isabelle Fuhrman was the perfect Esther, the way she could act and seem cute and then her transition to the 33 year old woman you really believed it! She just got angry and seemed so much more mature so you actually bought the fact that she was supposed to be a 33 year old woman.

The ONLY quarrel I have with the movie, or something that could have been different is the fact that the father died. I mean, obivously she stabbed him to death, she stabbed him like 8 times but I don’t think she should have died. The reason is because the audience was with the Mother when she wanted to get rid of Esther, when she hated Esther, we hated Esther, but the father was always on Esther’s side; I believe that he never got a chance to ‘redeem’ himself so to speak because right after he realized that Esther was actaully bad, he was killed. Other than that, everything was perfect!

I give “Orphan” FIVE, YES FIVE, starfruit! 5 starfruit

And if you haven’t checked out Orphan yet then do so ASAP!!

gi joeSo I went to see G.I. Joe last night (after having some delicious Kalbi<3) and man was it good! We were actually supposed to see Orphan but it started at 1045 and we didnt get to the theater until 11, where our 2nd option movie was to see G.I. Joe. Well, naturally I knew about Lee Byung Hun being in it, so that made me excited and I kept yelping out in the car, “I can’t wait to see Lee Byung Hun!!”

Anywho, we saw the movie and naturally from the start it was serious action. I felt that the movie was a little too loud and also a bit too much action to the point where it was hard to see what was going on and understand what was going on. The plot was very weak (trying to stop some warheads from blowing shit up…typical, right?) as was the screenplay; a lot of the lines were very “line-y”, or “punchline-y” I should say, which was very corny. Things like, “Try this missile on for size” and “That redhead is really starting to piss me off *que woman vs. woman battle*.

Channing Tatum and Sienna Miller are both very mediocre actors (Channing Tatum being more on the “Acting for Dummies” end) and I think that casting could have been better… ANYONE but Channing Tatum and perhaps Rosario Dawson instead of Sienna. Marlon Wayan’s was great and I was happy to see model-turned actress Rachel Nichols (she’s starting to get a lot of parts these days, and this was her first big blockbuster, I believe).

Anyway, onto the man of the hour, Lee Byung Hun! He was so cool in that movie and he played a bad guy, which is always memorable. I’m happy to say he had a significant part and significant lines in the movie and also he did NOT speak in Engrrish! He spoke very well, clearly and you could tell that he understood what he way saying. AND—he even took his shirt off! I was like, “HOT DAMN! BABY’S BEEN WORKING OUT!” Byung-hun is all tan and everything too… I loved it!

I’m gonna give this one 4-starfuit! 4 starfruits

Please go see this movie and support Lee Byung Hun! I know this movie will put him on the map! I think this will along with Ninja Assasin will help open up more and more doors as asian actors continually take leading roles!

So I made this movie when I was vacationing in Martha’s Vineyard with my cousins. We were so bored we were just going to make a silly movie but it ended up being much longer then originally planned and I actually decided to edit it.

It was filmed in about 9 days on 1 digital camera… yes you read that right, a DIGITAL CAMERA. Hence the reason why the sound quality is very shitty at times and also the visual. There’s virtually no street lights in the Vineyard so when it was dark… well, we were shooting in the dark.

Try to appreciate the vision, cuts and the product with the limited resources we had.

Thanks, rate and comment ^^)

rain NAI gotta say I like this better than the other one!

It’s definitely more intense and I’m so happy to say that all the reviews Ninja Assasin is getting has been good! There was this video of soem producers from another film, but they saw Ninja Assasin at Comicon and were highly praising it calling it “the bloodiest movie of the year” and how they really loved the movie.

This is going to put rain on the map!

“Fear not the weapon, but the hand that wields it”

ninja assasinOMG! The day I’ve been waiting my whole life for… for SO LONG has finally come and it’s here the Ninja Assasin trailer is here OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!! Let’s rejoice all!

The critiques from the pre-screening of this movie have all been good and I can’t wait because I’m sure this will be Rain’s big break into the US scene! I hope he stays and actor because he is so good at it… people will see him in this movie and then everyone is goin gto want to hire him and he is going to put asian men on another level with him coming out and being all sexy like he is!!!!

That was a mouth full.

With me, it’s impossible not to be bias when it comes to Rain… but this looks good! I just wished they had him in the trailer more what the heckity heck?! It’s his movie he needs to be shirtless in every other frame, I demand it!

Anyway, without further ado, here is the long-awaited Ninja Assasin trailer!

alice-mainHoly crap!

Seriously… Tim Burton is such a weirdo. Now I know that the person who wrote Alice in Wonderland must’ve been on drugs anyway, but seriously, this guy really is making the movie a frick of a lot weirder than it needs to be.

I am expecting to really dislike this movie considering I hated Burton’s re-make of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I was told by people—though I’m not sure how true this is—that Burton’s remake was more close to what went on in the actual book… however true that may be, I still believe that he puts a dark turn on movie’s that need not be there.

Like Coraline, I feel like this is another one children should stay away from… I mean, just look at how Johnny Depp’s character as the Mad-hatter looks!alice

It’s absolutely horrifying! Leave the kids at home please, if you don’t want them sleeping in your bed for the next couple weeks!

I think if they gave this a little darkness to it, it would have been OK but this… this is just scary. Tell me what you think of this new make-over.

Then again, maybe I’m just a Disney classic whore ^^)
